"The Backyard Culture"
This project explores the area of Judea and Samaria, and seeks to find beauty in the midst of chaos. The project delves into the realm of existential mess where disorder prevails and challenges the viewer to look beyond the surface to find visual aesthetics in unexpected places. The project is to talk about and to bring up for discussion different issues in an area that is known to be very complex culturally, politically, and humanly. The "backyard culture" was formed in these areas for many reasons, most of it is based on the governmental promiscuity. In the territories where there is no infrastructure, no supervision and there is a lot of mess between the authorities, people can "enjoy" the lawlessness. Leaving garbage, wrecked cars, putting signs where they want, settle where they like, etc… all the conduct comes out, goes out to, and is around the chaos.
